So it’s a new year.

2009 was such a tough year and I’ve been waiting a really long time for it to peace out and step off. It’s time to start fresh. The fear, insecurities and drama from 2009 are no longer welcome in my life.

I thought about writing up some resolutions but I’m not sure I could compact everything I want to be and accomplish into a numerated/bulleted list.

I guess what I really want is a better quality of life…to have a “rich” life but not in the monetary sense (even though that’d be nice too :]). I wanna live my life to the fullest and simply feel alive. I want to fill my life with all of the things that absolutely, positively make me happy. I want to keep finding the things in life that I’m passionate about and hold them near and dear to me. I want to be more responsible, loving, caring and selfless. I want to continue to grow closer and closer to God and persist in the spiritual journey upon which I started almost a year ago. I don’t want to sweat the small stuff anymore. I want to be STRONG and not only for myself but for everyone that I love and who’s touched my life and made a difference in it. I’m ready for all of this and more.

I’m not expecting everything to just fall into place and be peachy keen because that’s not what life’s about. You have to work for the things that you truly want in life and not just when it’s convenient or you feel motivated but e.v.e.r.y.d.a.y. You keep putting in the effort and never settle or become too complacent with the way things are. You can always find it in your heart to love more, always find more things to be fiery and passionate about. You can always find more joy and happiness in your life…more than you ever imagined you could.

I know that it takes more than just a year to accomplish major lifestyle changes but I’m ready to put myself on the path and try my hardest not to stray. I’m ready to start taking those baby steps towards living the “richest” life I can imagine for myself.
